The Kennedy's were looking to gut and redo their kitchen, bathrooms and living room in their 1950's ranch home. Our approach was to maximize the budget through simple, modern, sustainable interventions. We took what the existing structure offered and pushed the limits of how space is perceived. A small move of cantilevering a 2 foot expansion of the kitchen increased the sense of space and usefulness. The emphasis was on quality, efficiency and natural materials, which also reflected the owner's lifestyle.
